With the 2009 NRL Season ready to kick off in less than a month, 3 players were sent to Toolooa SHS to run a training session. Toolooa was visited by South Sydney Rabbitoh’s Rhys Wesser, Shannon McPherson and Nigel Vangana. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and train with the players.
Cowboys Development Officer, Dean Payne, was also present and organised the training and skills session for all students interested. This was set up through the One School Community Program which harnesses profile players to travel to areas throughout Australia and we appreciate the time that the NRL takes with regional centres. The students’ thoroughly enjoyed the session collecting signed posters and mini footballs for their hard work. |
