If you missed all the fun of the working bee held in March, I promised you another one and we now have the details finalized. The working bee will be held on Saturday 9th May commencing at 7.30am and going till we finish (morning tea will be supplied). We will be installing underground water distribution pipes from the water tanks near the Science block and Toolooa House to the new garden beds, the surrounds of Toolooa House and the greenhouse. This project is about 3 times bigger than the last one and it would be great if we had at least 3 times as many people. If we end up with more, we have another project to work on as well. Please BYO hand tools, digging and dirt moving equipment. We look forward to seeing you there.
The school has been successful in obtaining both state and federal government grants for upgrades. You will see a lot of work happening around the school within the next 12 months. This injection of government funds does not replace the regular contribution of the P&C and we still need your assistance. Our only fund raiser is the tuckshop. If you find that you have some spare time, come along and join the dedicated band of workers – they would love to see you.
I look forward to seeing you at the working bee or in the tuckshop (or both!)
