Introducing our New Chaplain PDF Print E-mail

Principal Alan Whitfield welcoming our new Chaplain David Roby to Toolooa State High School.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new chaplain of Toolooa State High School. As I take this role within the school community, I am aware of the impact Kerith Roby has had on Toolooa over the years. I wish her all the best as she takes 12 months maternity leave.

My background is in the building industry. I am a qualified and licensed carpenter and had worked in the industry for 5 years. I also attended Toolooa State High School graduating in 2004. I am now asking myself how a carpenter, who once attended Toolooa, fits into a schooling context. All I can come up with is that I accepted the role as school chaplain to impact the lives of young people and their futures for the better. I hope to serve each person I meet with humility and respect and that you will find me approachable. My dream is to see the boys of this school turn into young men and show respect and honour to others around them.
Please, if you have any concerns, comments or queries see me at the precinct or contact me at the school between 8am and 3pm Monday to Thursday.
