Recently, two senior teams from our school travelled to Toowoomba for the Queensland Senior Schools Cup Volleyball Tournament. Whilst there, our teams competed against some of the best teams in the state and performed at an exceptionally high level. Although the boys team was the top of their division after the first day, unfortunately the cold weather and the flu went through the team and affected their end result. The boys finished eighth in their division, which was great for their first tournament.
The girls team produced some great volleyball, showing more skill and fight after just four months of training than most do after years of training. The girls finished fifth in their division and qualified for the nationals in Melbourne later in the year. After a great tournament, I would like to thank the teams for not only playing great volleyball but also showing pride in and for the Toolooa State High colours. Well done Toolooa volleyball teams.
