| Year 11 University Pathways / QCS Program |

On Thursday 27th August, all year 11 students who are eligible for an OP Score (for tertiary entrance) will travel to CQU Gladstone Marina campus for a half-day workshop.
The focus will be to introduce students to life at university and give them information about the many pathways to university study. Tours of the university will give students a first hand look at what is involved in studying a university course. There will be no cost to students for this visit. Please contact the school if you do not wish your child to attend.
In the coming weeks we will commence our QCS preparation course by familiarising students with the four test papers and explaining to them how the QCS test is used to calculate OP scores and Tertiary Entrance Ranks. This program will involve an assessment of students’ literacy and numeracy skills, which will be marked by Mighty Minds. The information will be reported back to students and will help the school to best plan a QCS preparation program for 2010.
