Post Office Australia 20/20 Cricket Competition |

Last Friday the Toolooa Open boys’ cricket team took on Hervey Bay School, Xavier College in the Post Office Australia knock-out 20/20 cricket competition. The game was played at Clinton Park and after winning the toss and choosing to bat, our Toolooa boys went on to post an impressive total of 234 off just 30 overs. Best performers with the bat were David Heymer with 85 and Luke Woof also scored an exciting 87 not out.
In the field the boys were equally impressive and bowled Xavier College all out for 102. The standout bowler of the day was Josh Grieving who was on a hat-trick and ended with figures of 4-7. This impressive win by the team now sees them progress in the competition and depending on upcoming games will play either Maroochydore State High or the winning school from the Brisbane north region in the next round. This is a great achievement by the team and they will no doubt be looking to continue their good form in their upcoming games.
