The 2009 National Assessment Plan in Literacy and Numeracy results has provided encouraging news for our school in the improvement of literacy and numeracy outcomes for our students.

Students at our school have demonstrated significant improvements in all assessment areas. (Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy) Our 2009 performance places our school in the top improvement group across the state and stands out as the one secondary school in the region where improvement was demonstrated in all areas of the assessment.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements and of the focussed and dedicated work of our staff. We will continue to work closely with students and parents on these important learning areas.

We aspire to be one of the best performing schools and the 2009 results show that we are closing the gap in these important areas.
