On Tuesday October 20th for Year 10 students and Thursday 22nd for Year 9 students the popular Auslife program is returning to Toolooa High School. This is a normal school day and all students are expected to attend school.
Auslife is being presented as a part of the school’s Human Relationships Education program and is strongly supported by the school’s administration. The seminar for Year 9 students will examine the issue of setting goals and establishing values in life – an important issue for teenagers to come to terms with, as it will affect their future choices. The Year 10 seminar will focus on healthy relationships and the choices involved in creating these relationships.
These seminars use high-energy music, contemporary video clips, simulation games and small group discussions to explore these issues in a fun but in depth way. They are facilitated by an organisation called Youth With a Mission and have a small segment where these issues are related to basic Christian principles. If you have any concerns regarding your student’s participation, please contact Kerith Roby, school chaplain on 4971 4305.
