From The Deputy
With Jess Batey

As always, we’ve had plenty going on at Toolooa this fortnight. Our STEM Squad has been getting acquainted with loads of new and exciting items. They now have several Sphero Minis and a robotic dog to code, along with their Lego robots, Arduino and plenty more. We’ve had students selected to represent Port Curtis and Capricornia in their chosen sporting fields, groups out and about in the area on excursions, and our whole school community has been working hard to prepare for upcoming assessment.

Being one of the busiest times of the term, please help your child to stay organised and give them the best chance at success.

Remember that you can look through their student diary and assessment calendar, and you’re welcome to call the school and chat with teachers about the best ways to help your child prepare for upcoming assessment tasks.

Through the cooler months, we recognise that children get sick and need to miss school at times. In saying that, we must remember that every day at school counts. If your child does have to stay home sick, please ensure you explain their absence by texting/calling the school, or sending a note in with your child on their day of return.
