Bookwork

By now, most parents would be aware that our school has a bookwork policy that all students are expected to adhere to.  Recently, a random sample of junior secondary books was collected. y now, most parents would be aware that our school has a bookwork policy that all students are expected to adhere to.  Recently, a random sample of junior secondary books was collected.

These books were taken to our executive team, which is made up of the principal, deputy principals and heads of department.  The team was looking for dates and margins, correction of work, WWSS (lesson intent), quality of written responses and general neatness of the books.  It was pleasing to note that the vast majority of books were in excellent condition and most elements of the bookwork policy were evident consistently. It’s fantastic to see that Toolooa students are taking pride in their work and keeping excellent notes for their revision.

There is example of the bookwork that is expected of students below. You will notice that the handwriting is legible, the page is ruled-up neatly, the lesson intent is clear and all work is corrected. Additionally, you will notice that all answers are written in full sentences.  Students following these expectations find that their revision is much more efficient as they are able to review their notes with ease.
