Starting Year 7 in 2019?
Recently, we held our annual Year 7 Info Night & School Tour to acquaint new families with our school in preparation for 2019 enrolments. If you were unable to attend our Info Night but would like more information, please contact our Junior Secondary HoD, Ashton Shonhan on 49 714 347 or via email at abird35@eq.edu.au

2018 Book Week
Each year across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia brings children and books together celebrating CBCA Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature and you will often see children's book character parades and talented librarians creating amazing displays.

This year’s theme of ‘Find Your Treasure’ was displayed throughout our school library during week 6. There were many colourful displays and lunchtime activities in a bid to remind students that true treasure is found between the pages of a good book.

Opti-Minds 2018
Last Sunday our 2018 Opti-Minds team travelled to Rockhampton to participate in the Opti-Minds Challenge. The Opti-Minds Challenge provides an opportunity for all those with a passion for learning & problem solving to showcase their skills & talents in an exciting, vibrant & public way.

Our team responded to two challenges with creative and engaging presentations. At the end of the day, our Toolooa SHS team was awarded ‘Honours’ for their efforts. A fantastic outcome! Congratulations to the students involved and a BIG thank you to parents and families for travelling to Rockhampton for the event.
