Year 6 into 7 Orientation Days

We are very excited about the Year 6 into 7 Orientation Days being held on Monday and Tuesday of week 9 this term! Students attending our school over the two days will be involved in a school tour, as well as lots of interesting lessons with our Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary teachers.  We also are working with QMEA to organise robotics sessions for all transitioning students. Importantly, the Orientation Days provide students with the opportunity to connect with their teachers and peers – including the Junior Secondary leaders - before starting high school next year.

Students are to wear their primary school uniform, bring a hat, water bottle, pencil case and book to write in. They may bring a packed lunch, or money to purchase food from the tuckshop, which will be operating during both breaks.

Students will receive a timetable for the Orientation Days when they arrive on the Monday. Each class will be supported and escorted by two Junior Secondary Leaders from year 7 to 9. It is very normal for students to be feeling nervous leading up to Orientation, but rest assured, they will be well looked-after.

If you have any questions leading up to the Orientation Days, please feel free to contact Year 7 Co-ordinator, Craig O’Connor (49 714 335), or Junior Secondary Head of Department, Jess Batey (49 714 351).
