NAIDOC Celebrations
Friday the 10th August we welcomed over 370 guests to share and celebrate NAIDOC with us. We are very pleased to continue our relationship with Rainbow Valley, having them attend for a forth year. We also had students from our primary feeder schools Kin Kora and South attend and start their Year 6 transition to high school. The senior boys arrived very early, starting the day at 5.30am to get the kup mari pit, fire and food parcels prepped. The girls were in the kitchen from 7.00am cooking up coconut curry, chicken vermicelli and damper. Principal Justin Harrison and Community Education Counsellor Ambrose Coolwell welcomed students and their guests and encouraged all to participate in many activities including dance, face painting and storytelling. We would like thank our past students Juwan, Jacob, Jalen, Jaleel, Isiah and Danika for returning and teaching staff Ms MJ, Ms Bos, Fiona Craige and Mr McCook for their contributions in the kitchen. Thankyou to everyone who attended, we are looking forward to 2019!
