Indigenous News
With Jamaine Mehrton-Johnson

This year, Jamaine Mehrton-Johnson steps in as Indigenous Co-Ordinator at Toolooa State High School, adding to the brilliant team already in place with Michelle Eggmolesse, Cassie Benjamin and Ambrose Coolwell. As a team, we have a very proud record of supporting our Indigenous students to achieve their best and this year we are continuing this strong focus.

Although the Artie program was lost this year due to funding cuts, the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Program (AIME) will still be provided to the students which aids in closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. The Indigenous team have also created amazing new incentives to improve the outcomes of the wonderful Indigenous students at Toolooa State High School.

We are all looking forward to a positive and event filled year. Hope to see your friendly faces around Toolooa and the wider community.
