Instrumental Music


Welcome to Instrumental Music 2018 at Toolooa SHS.

The Instrumental Music Teaching Team For This Year Will Be:
•Mrs Carol Slape – woodwind/brass/percussion
•Ms Mandy Ruge - strings
Rehearsals Begin This Week:
•String Orchestra will be each Tuesday, from 7:30am-8:40am with Ms Ruge.
•Concert Band will be each Wednesday, from 7:30am-8:40am with Mrs Slape.
•Symphonic Band will be each Thursday, from 7:30am-8:40am with Mrs Slape.
•Stage Band will be each Friday, from 7:30am-8:40am with Mrs Slape. 
Lessons: are 35 minutes per week, during school time. Please check the timetables posted outside the Instrumental Music room. 
String lessons with Ms Ruge will be each Tuesday.
Woodwind, Brass and Percussion lessons with Mrs Slape will be each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Students who will be using a school-owned instrument please collect an Instrument Loan Agreement form from your Instrumental Music teacher and return it to your instrumental teacher as soon as possible. 
2018 Instrumental Music Information Evening will be held in room NA10 in Week 3 on Wednesday 7th February, from 6:00pm -7:00pm. All current and future instrumental music students and their parents are encouraged to attend this brief meeting to hear important information relating to the program, the year ahead, and to meet our dedicated Instrumental Music team. 
If an Instrumental Music student is to be absent during a scheduled lesson or group rehearsal, parents are asked to please send a courtesy email informing their Instrumental teacher that they will not be attending.
