QAL 'Day In The Life Of An Operator' Filming

On Thursday 31st May and Thursday 8th June, Year 12 students Jackson Cooper and Michael Hudson visited QAL to film footage for a 'Day in the Life of an Operator' video. When completed, this video is going to be used across the three Gladstone state high schools to promote the EQIP Certificate II Process Plant Operations (EPMA) program.

I was lucky enough to be the accompanying teacher on Thursday 31st May. We started at 5.30am and spent the whole day visiting various sections of QAL for filming. Michael and Jackson filmed a large number of QAL staff performing their roles, giving us a deep understanding of how QAL operates, and the different roles operators play.

Thank you to QAL and all of their staff members, particularly Terry, Dale, Tony and Jo and the staff starring in the video, for helping make this video happen. Additionally, well done to Jackson and Michael for their professionalism, enthusiasm and skill in creating this video. They are very impressive Year 12 students!

If you are interested in learning more about the Certificate II Process Plant Operations (EPMA) program, please visit the EQIP website (eqipgladstone.com.au) or contact me on 49714 357. Applications for this program will open later this year. Look out for the finished video!
