Careers Expo 2018
Dear Year 11 or Year 12 Student and Parents/Guardians,
EQIP are hosting the Careers Expo this year. The Careers Expo provides the opportunity for students to investigate various trade and training institutes as well as universities from across Queensland and Australia.

As a result, Years 11 and 12 students have the option of attending the expo. Transport will be by bus to and from the Careers Expo; this will be organised through the school and EQIP, meaning the expo will be free of charge.

Students not attending the Careers Expo will remain at school and attend classes as usual.

Date: Wednesday, 16th May
Time: 9.20am departure from school – approximately one hour at the expo
Venue: CQU Marina campus
Clothing: Students are required to wear full school uniform.

If your student wishes to attend the Careers Expo, please complete the attached form and return to Mr Boase or Ms Tash in the Senior Room by Monday 30th April. There will be limited spaces available on the buses, so places will be allocated on a first-in basis.

If you have any questions in regards to the Careers Expo please contact Darren Boase on 4971 4333.

CQU Experience
University Experience is a proven, interactive activity that gave students a vision for a career that suits them. Students chose two different course options that enabled them to interact as university students through a hands on experience.

Whilst on campus they could see for themselves the advantages of studying local while accessing world class facilities. There was also an inspiring information session about scholarships, study support and the diversity of career options in each field. Students met with academics and current university students who they could relate to and ask questions.
Suddenly their next step is not so scary.  In fact it is quite exciting!

CQU provided a fun and informative day for students with a world class lunch – Pizza!!.
Thank you to CQU and Toolooa students for a fantastic day.
