Leisure Employment Australia
Leisure Employment Australia offered 3 School Based Traineeships to students who are eager to gain a head start within the sport and recreation industry and have a passion for working with the community.

Leisure Employment Australia is the employer for this traineeship program, however all trainees will be working at BlueFit managed aquatic and leisure centres. This also means trainees gain the benefits of a BlueFit staff member, including free entry at all BlueFit facilities, family discounts and a commitment to employ trainees as casual staff members after their traineeship completion.

Amongst the many applicants Casey Hovey from Toolooa State High School was awarded one of the Traineeships. During the traineeship, students will complete their Certificate III Sport and Recreation through self- paced learning (workbooks) and be assessed on-site after each block of units.

                  Congratulations Casey, make us proud.

Mock Interview Blurb
During week 8, all year 12 EFL students participated in Mock Interviews with members of the community. The interviews allowed students to gain real life experience during the recruitment process of industry, government agencies and small business. We would like to acknowledge and thank QAL, Gladstone Ports, Ergon, Gladstone Regional Council, Queensland Police, Forest Springs ELC, EQIP, GAGAL, GAPDL Communities for Children, Busy at Work, LJ Hooker Gladstone, Boyne Tannum Veterinary Surgery, Connell Enterprises, Elevate Media, Hello World Travel, HUB Fitness, McDonalds and Rip Curl Gladstone for their continued support during this process.
