Swimming Carnival

Swimming Carnival
Earlier this term Toolooa held its annual swimming carnival in which a fun day was had by all.
The day commenced with a school parade in which all students were keen to express their overwhelming support for their Careports. This could be seen through the vibrant colours and costumes worn including some fantastic Hawaiian shirts and morph suits!
The day of events ran smoothly with excellent participation from all age groups and this led to a high scoring carnival through participation points. This year actually had the best turn out for a swimming carnival in years with over 690 students present on the day.
This year the U14 school records took a beating with Clara Furness breaking three out of the four records for this particular age group.

At the end of the day there were twelve swimmers that stood out from the rest, our ‘Age Champions’ for 2017. The following students were recognised as our age champions for 2017 due to the outstanding effort in the pool.
Congratulations to all of our ‘Age Champions’ for 2017. Overall, the day was a great success which could be seen through the strong participation numbers and enjoyment throughout the day. Congratulations to those students who got involved. A big thank you must go out to the teachers involved and the PE department for organising the day.
