Interschool Touch Football
This term we have seen a number of students involved in the “Interschool Touch Football” Competition which runs on Tuesday afternoons after school. Unlike previous years, this year it was Toolooa’s turn to venture out to Biloela via bus to compete against Biloela State High School in an exciting round of touch football. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to showcase the skills that they had developed as a team in the first round.

Furthermore, it was great to see the “team spirit” on display with a number of students filling in for other teams on the day. The results on the day may have been mixed but the excitement levels were clear on the field.

Whilst the teams involved have enjoyed varying levels of success thus far in the competition, I think it’s safe to say all the students have had an enjoyable time showcasing their skills out on the field!

Sports Awards!18th November, 2015
As the remaining sports on the school calendar are nearing the end, I think now is the time to look forward to the Annual School Sports Awards night for 2015. This year we will be looking back on and celebrating the successes of our students in the sporting arena. A number of awards will be presented on the night ranging from the “Best & Fairest” for each interschool sport that students have participated in through to the “Junior & Senior Sports Person of the Year”!

Invitations for this annual event have been distributed to the students who have excelled in their given sports this year. In addition to this, students should by now have collected raffle tickets to raise money for this event. I think it’s safe to say the raffle prizes this year will be hot property with the first prize being a “Cowboys Premiership Winning Framed Print”. The remaining prizes are a HUB Fitness 3 Month Membership which was kindly supplied by HUB Fitness and a $100 voucher to Sports Power.

I look forward to celebrating the achievements of our sporting stars at this annual sporting event.
