Unity Club - Are You Connected?

Gladstone is a melting pot of cultural and linguistic diversity (CALD) and Toolooa SHS student population reflect this diversity in our greater community.  With support from teachers, a number of our CALD students have formed the Unity Club – a relaxed informal group meeting where students enjoy some yummy afternoon tea talk about anything and everything.  The group not exclusive to those with cultural or linguistic diversity, in fact, the concept is to embrace the differences in our school community and cross any barriers that may exist.  With support from Gladstone Regional Council Youth Worker, Michael Cusack, the group have agreed on meeting schedule, once a month, and are working on ideas to make each meeting fun and interesting.  Meetings are held in the English block every 3rd Thursday of the month in 2nd break.  The next meeting is on the 16th of May, the topic of discussion will be: Family Fun.
