Year 6 Transition to High School Program

1/09/2016
Year 6 Transition to High School Program

Year 7 students have been returning to their primary schools over the past few weeks to talk to year 6 students about life in a high school. The purpose of these visits is to demystify the high school experience and provide information so as to ensure that Year 6 students feel as comfortable as possible about their transition to secondary school. Our Year 7 students have been doing a wonderful job of explaining their high school responsibilities and have been able to supply useful information in response to insightful questions coming from the Year 6 students. Schools visited so far this term include: Gladstone South SS, Gladstone Central SS and Kin Kora SS. We will be visiting Clinton SS and Gladstone West SS in the next two weeks. Any questions about Year 7 in 2017 should be directed to me on 49714341 or cocon20@eq.edu.au

Year 7 scholarships will be open from the 7th of September & paperwork will be available for this at the Year 7 Information night, as well as from our webpage. Scholarship applications close on the 30th of September.
