Year 7 Camp

Year 7 Camp

As this issue goes to print, 110 Year 7 students, 7 student leaders and 7 staff members are attending a Leadership camp on the Sunshine Coast. As part of the Toolooa SHS leadership program, all Year 7 students are each year invited to attend the Maranatha Recreation Camp at Yandina. Here they are involved in High and Low ropes to assess their ability to take on new challenges and in many cases to face their fears. Additionally, they are involved in a number of problem-solving activities where they must work together to arrive at a solution. On top of this, their brains are expanded on the Wednesday night after dinner by Mr Townsend's legendary trivia competition.
While we don't yet know how things went this year, one thing is certain. There will be many tired but happy campers come Friday afternoon, dragging their weary bodies off the buses.
Here are some photos of the events that students have participated in so far. Stay tuned for the next Newsletter for some more updates.
