First LEGO League National Championships
Congratulations to our incredible STEM Squad students that competed in the First LEGO League National Competition on Saturday in Brisbane! Maddy, Tiah, Amanda, Sarah, Emily, Tobi, Hayah and Sophie have spent countless hours practicing for the event over the term and did a fabulous job on the day. A special thank you to Mrs Bridges for coaching the students on the day and to all the students families for supporting the team. Well done everyone!
ImmerseHigh Virtual Reality Competition
In term 4, our STEM Squad students had a go at creating 360 degree environments to be accessed in virtual reality. Students used software to build artificial spaces and code characters and objects to move and interact with the user. In week 5, four of our students entered their spaces into the ImmerseHigh Virtual Reality Competition. For this event, they had to create a space that showcased a Queensland business that was making an environmentally friendly change. Congratulations to Bailey, Josh, Bodie and Austyn, who picked up the new software and challenge with ease had great success in the competition. Josh, Bodie and Austyn came third in the challenge and Bailey was awarded second place. Incredible job boys, well done!
