The Toolooa Mutilit Mentor Excursion program is proving to be a huge success!
Toolooa students in our Multilit program are travelling to South School to read with South students who are also in the South School Mulitlit program. Multilit is an intensive reading program for students to develop reading fluency.
This activity provides a fantastic opportunity for students to develop confidence in their reading abilities and begin to create bonds between our future and current high school students. The program’s purpose is to encourage another opportunity for these children, to become comfortable in their reading abilities, at whatever level they are at, and to continue to work on improving their reading abilities with confidence and pride. The high school students will provide a mentor/leadership role to the primary school students, and encourage a positive outlook for their future schooling both academically and socially.
