Youth of the Year
After winning the first round of the Lions Youth of the Year competition, Georgia Staines represented Toolooa at the Regional finals. On Saturday 13th March, our School Captain competed against students who represented the Theodore and Callide regions and she was successful in winning the public speaking component of the competition.
Georgia's public speaking win was based on her excellent presentation of her prepared speech on intersectional feminism, as well as her skill in the terrifying impromptu speaking portion of the event.
While Georgia did not win the overall event, she did a terrific job of representing Toolooa and we hope she is as proud of her efforts as we are. Well done, Georgia!
