Information for Current Year 12 Students interested in studying at Bond University

       We have received the 2014 Bond University Undergraduate Guide and Prospectus.  Bond University’s ‘Open Day’ is on Sunday, July 14 - 10am-3pm.  If your child is interested in going to Bond University on the Gold Coast it is worth their while making an appointment with me to explore this option further.  In addition, Bond University offers numerous scholarships that are worth applying for.   All information is also available on their website.

QCS Test- Special Provision

There are two types of Special Provision that may be available for students.

Before the Test

       Special Arrangements- are practical adjustments to the test conditions (restbreaks, A3 size test materials, computer etc, extra time)
       Exemption- allows a student to be absent from the test and remain eligible for an OP

After the Test

       Absentee exemption- allows a student who was unavoidably absent from the test to remain eligible for an OP
       Declaring a test grade null and void- allows a student who sat the test to choose not to receive a test grade.
       Applications need to be in by the 21st May and is available for students who may
       •    Have diagnosed dyslexia
       •    Have any impairments
       •    Is on medication that may require extra time
       •    Anxiety
       •    Medical Conditions
       •    May have a sporting event or extra curricular event they have been selected

University of the Sunshine Coast

       I have received the latest USC Courses and programs guide.  There is also information on Higher OP bonuses- for regional preferences, Maths C students, Athlete Bonuses and the QTAC Education Access Scheme bonus (which means they could give you up to 3 OP bonus points) to help you into USC.
       They are also offering a new LAW degree and have added 'Drama' as a major to the Bachelor of Arts degree.  In 2013- 54 students received scholarships to assist with their study costs (approx. $400 000 worth).  Make sure you investigate available scholarships through USC.
