Wellbeing Support Structure
Toolooa State High School has a wide range of wellbeing support structures in place to support its students.
Pastoral Care
Students are allocated to a form class, which they attend three mornings per week. During form class, students engage with their form teacher in a range of wellbeing activities designed to promote resilience, positive relationships, organisation, and many other important skills and qualities.
Year Level Coordinators work in conjuntion with form class teachers to provide pastoral support for students in their year levels. Year Level Coordinators may provide support to students in a range of ways, including resonding to Stymie notifications, assisting with conflict resolution, supporting students to increase their attendance, etc. Year Level Coordinators also play a vital role in managing the positive rewards system for students.
Targeted & Intensive Support
Our wellbeing support team is made up of the following members who provide a support for students in a range of way - from social/emotional support through to career advice:
- Guidance Officers
- Psychologist
- Youth Support Workers
- Indigenous Support Team
- Chaplain
- School-based Youth Health Nurse
- School-based Police Officer
If parents believe that their child requires additional support, they should make contact with the relevant Year Level Coordinator.
