We’re coming into the middle of the term, which means some exciting upcoming events!
In the next couple of weeks, we’ve got our swimming carnival, which is being held on Wed of week 6 at the town pool. Students are required to wear sun-safe clothing (preferably in their Careport colours) and attend for the full day. Careport parades will run on the Monday prior to the carnival, so students will know what to do on the day. In addition to the swimming carnival, we also have our first ‘extended form’ of the year coming up in week 5. During this session, students will work with their form class and teacher on important elements of their wellbeing. We also have our ‘Meet the Teachers’ session scheduled in for all families of our new Year 7 cohort. We’ve had to get a little creative with the structure of this year’s session so that we can make it safe and COVID-friendly for all in attendance.
Students and parents of Year 7 are welcome to join us from 5pm on Tuesday 23rd February 2021 (sign on from 4.45pm).
As we near closer to the middle of the term, please take the time to sit down with your child/ren and discuss what’s coming up. It is always helpful for students when they take the time to reflect on how things are going, and start preparing for the upcoming busy assessment period. A reminder that assessment calendars are available on our website (also linked via our Facebook page), and students all received a hard copy last week on parade.
