Containers For Change
Our Junior Leaders are proudly making a difference in our school community by driving the collection of containers for the Containers for Change program. The containers are being recycled and all money collected is going towards reducing tuckshop prices for everyone.
Students are encouraged to place their used containers in the marked bins located around the school.
Gladstone Future Cities Challenge
Five TSHS students are currently taking part in the ‘Gladstone Future Cities Challenge’, hosted by CQU and BOP Industries. The challenge aims to get students looking at our next 30 years as they design what they hope to see in Gladstone in the year 2050. Focussing on the opportunities in sustainability, technology, and community, students are working to develop and pitch an initiative that they think could change Gladstone for the better by 2050. These students took part in a hackathon at the beginning of the term and are currently engaging in weekly activities as they prepare for their final submissions. We wish Tyrell, Sophie, Fatima, Jakada and Benny all the best with the challenge and look forward to seeing their entries later in the term.
