Congratulations Alyssa
Congratulations to Alyssa Pease, who has been accepted into QUT’s Future You STEM Summit program.
Alyssa has been chosen due to her outstanding academic achievement and passion in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. With such a glowing recommendation from Sherie Elliot, Alyssa will be a welcome inclusion into the program.
Alyssa will join a select group of high achieving students from across Queensland and northern NSW in a four-day on-campus program that will provide them with an engaging and inspirational experience in the fields of science, health, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Alyssa will get a taste of first-year university life, and work together with other senior students, as well as academics and QUT students, in an internship placement or STEM taster practicals. All students will take part in interactive sessions that will unpack the importance of a STEM mindset, with the help of industry speakers, and look at future job opportunities.
The Future You STEM Summit is held over the Semester 2 holidays, 27-30 September. We would like to wish Alyssa all the very best and we hope Alyssa will enjoy the experience and benefit from this great opportunity and we have no doubt she will do Toolooa State High School proud.
