Archie Tennant broke two records last week at the PC Track and Field trials in long jump and triple jump.
The long jump record was 5.63 metres, set in 2014 and Archie jumped
6.22 metres last week in the U13 event.
In 1999 the record for triple jump was 10.82 metres and Archie jumped 12.28 metres last week to break this record.
Great work, Archie!
UQ Taste of Medicine
Eight year 10 and 11 students from Toolooa State High School attended the recent UQ Taste of Medicine day at the Gladstone Hospital. These student got to hear from current UQ medical students about their journey and stories. They received information on entry to medicine and the regional medical pathway from Associate Professor Sneha Kirubakaran and the Medicine Team at CQ Uni. They also got involved in airway activities, blood pressure/vitals, CPR a
nd suturing. It was a great experience for all.
